Broken Wrist Update and BLOG CANDY!!!

March 4th, 2010

Hello Stamper Friends!  I hope you are well today.  I am playing “try to catch up”, but this cold is reallllly dragging me down.  I was hoping to do a couple videos this week, but nope…and at this point, my voice doesn’t sound so pretty, so I think we’ll wait til next week.

Here is another reason I’m behind this week, poor Anna…she’s not liking this cast AT ALL.  She told me the other night, “ok, mom, it doesn’t hurt any more.  Let’s take it off.”  Oh, dear, we’ve got until April 1!

Last night she took a shower with it.  This puppy is waterproof!  She did NOT like the feel of a wet cast AT ALL.  I told her she needs to wear it so her wrist heals correctly.  If it doesn’t, her wrist will hurt for the next 75+ years.  She’s funny, because now when she complains, she says, “I know.  I don’t want it to hurt for the next 75 years!”.

So, let’s do a little blog candy in honor of Anna!  Leave a post anywhere on my blog and I will draw one winner for the Vintage Labels Stamp Set (already have this, lmk which SAB set you would like instead).  Drawing will be on Tuesday.  I love, love reading y’alls comments!

Let me know what you would like to see…more simple stamping, techniques, 3D projects?  Or comment on anything else you would like!

How did she break her wrist? Sarah broke hers weekend before last…or at least the doctor is treating it like a break! She was ice skating at the IceHouse.
Love what you are doing…so just keeping doing more of the same!
    See you Sunday!

Love your blog Catherine. A fellow stamper turned me onto it recently. I feel for Anna as I once had to wear a cast and it was no fun. I almost missed my dance recital that year because of it. It’ll be off soon enough and she’ll have a great souvenir of her childhood. Love all the projects.

Hope Anna’s doing better! At least she got a pretty pink cast! I love all the ideas you post on your blog. I especially like the videos – You always make it look so easy to make beautiful cards!

Hope Anna feels better! When my husband was young he had a cast on his arm and stuck coins down it…needless to say the doctor joked he made his own piggy bank. I love seeing all the 3-D projects!

OMG!! Are you going to be doing laundry again? I would so cave. You look great in the recent video. Nice personal touch. Like the craft room tour and storage ideas.

Aww..poor Anna. Wish they’d had a water-proof cast for Evan when he broke his. Hope the time passes quickly for her.

I broke my pinky finger one time and they didn’t give me cast and now my finger is crooked and the joint hurts all the time. Tell Anna to keep that cast on!

Tell Anna to hang in there. Its awesome that they now have waterproof casts. It sure makes it a lot easier to take a shower. Your blog is so helpful to me. You inspire me to try to create some crafts. Thanks and Love the tutorial videos. They really help when you demonstrate it in real life. Thanks again. Hope Anna feels better soon.

Casts are fun for the first day when you get all the attention after that they are a pain. At least it isn’t summer, that’s a tough time to have a cast. I like seeing little treat holder projects. Thanks for sharing.
